What we do

Three mandates, one purpose

We increase access to services, promote unity between women and men, and help people gain the skills to grow.

Increasing access

We bridge the gap between the people who need services and the organisations that provide them.

Open the service directory
  • Mapping services

Building and maintaining a directory of local and international NGOs, government programmes and community services, organised by location and type of support.

  • Raising awareness

Community outreach, radio, social media and school visits that tell people what is available and who qualifies.

  • Referrals and guidance

Helping individuals identify the right service and take the first steps to reach it.

  • Feedback to providers

Sharing what communities need and where services are not reaching, so NGOs can serve people better.

Promoting gender unity

We promote togetherness between women and men, showing that potential should not be restricted by gender while respecting the value each gender brings.

  • Dialogue and togetherness

Community conversations, workshops and youth forums where men and women, boys and girls, learn from and support each other.

  • Revealing potential

Showcasing people who have succeeded in roles or careers outside traditional gender expectations, and encouraging others to pursue their talents freely.

  • Mutual respect

Promoting respect for the roles each gender plays in families and communities, rather than setting one against the other.

  • Shared responsibility

Engaging men and boys as active partners in protection, education and opportunity for all.

Empowerment for growth

We help people gain the knowledge, skills and tools they need to grow and take charge of their lives.

  • Education support

Encouraging school enrolment and retention for both girls and boys, and linking families to scholarship and learning programmes.

  • Skills and livelihoods

Connecting young people and adults to vocational, digital and entrepreneurship training.

  • Rights awareness

Helping people understand their rights and where to seek protection or support when those rights are violated.

  • Mentorship

Pairing young people with role models who can guide their personal and career growth.

Who we serve and how we work

Five steps we follow in every community

We serve children, youth, women and men across Sierra Leone, with a focus on communities where awareness of available services is lowest.

  1. 01

    Listen

Understand the needs of each community before acting.

  2. 02

    Connect

Link people to existing services rather than duplicating them.

  3. 03

    Empower

Build skills and confidence so people can help themselves and others.

  4. 04

    Unite

Involve women and men together in every programme.

  5. 05

    Follow up

Track whether people actually reached the help they needed, and learn from the results.
